The scope

Better understanding
how modules are used.

Evolutive Group sold modules on the PrestaShop marketplace. My final-year project was to build a back-end collecting the data reported by these modules, to provide visibility into how they were used.

I designed and developed the APIs in Go, chose a microservices architecture and worked on deployment with support from the company’s DevOps engineer.

The work

Designing each service.
And how they work together.

01

Receiving module data.

Develop the collection APIs in Go, based on the data reported by the company’s PrestaShop modules.

Back-end
02

Limiting failure propagation.

Structure the back-end as microservices, with the aim that an outage in one module’s service does not affect the other flows.

Architecture
03

Taking part in deployment.

Handle deployment and infrastructure work, with support from the team’s DevOps engineer.

Deployment

Experience beyond
the interface.

Design.
Build.

Deploy.

An end-to-end back-end project.

From designing the APIs to deploying them, this project let me explore how a back-end works and the constraints of its infrastructure.

Hands-on experience that fuels my drive to grow toward full stack.
